The service is suspended during the closure periods of the SBA libraries (in August, during the Christmas period, and on days when the university's activities are suspended); related information can be found on the BiblioUniTS portal. For information, please contact ill@units.it exclusively.

The Inter-Library Loan Department welcomes requests from International libraries. We accept IFLA vouchers and our standard charges are as follows:

• Europe - EU Members: 2 full IFLA Voucher
• Europe - non EU Countries: 2 full IFLA Vouchers
• Rest of World: 3 IFLA Voucher

Our Libraries offer a four week loan period from the date of arrival, but all items are subject to recall if required by a Trieste University user.
All loans are strictly "for use in library only".

Renewals
We are also happy to offer renewals at no extra charge, providing the item has not been recalled. Please contact us by email if a renewal is required.

Items we are unable to lend:

• Ancient, rare and precious books; generally, all the books published before 1950
• Books in reference classes
• Unsuitably bound (spiral bound, ring-binder, loose-leaf, etc.) or damaged items
• Special collections and materials
• Dissertations
• Serials
• Textbooks
• Books acquired in the last six months for research goals
