Find books in the libraries of the University and SBN UNITS FVG Node

To search for print or e-books select the ‘ Catalogue’ label and type in the BiblioUniTS search box some basic data, such as the author’s name and/or some meaningful words from the title:
In the results page you may select either the “ On the shelf” or the “ Online” label:
“ On the shelf” showcases the holdings of the libraries of the SBN UNITS FVG Node (they are mostly print books and periodicals, but there are also some electronic publications, databases and other materials).
“Online ” displays the books and e-journals available to University of Trieste institutional users only – or from within the library premises.
- Pre-1994 Card-Image Public Access Catalogue
The pre-1994 catalogue is used to retrieve items acquired by the University of Trieste libraries before that year but not listed in the BiblioUniTS " On the shelf" catalogue yet.
The pre-1994 catalogue simulates browsing the traditional card catalogue by author. In the virtual drawers you may browse the bibliographic records, ordered alphabetically by main author. Use it only in case you are looking for books published before 1994 which are not listed in the online catalogue.
If the catalogue search yields no results, you may place an interlibrary loan request, which will be forwarded to any library holding the book, either in Italy or abroad.
Find books in other libraries, in Italy or abroad
Many tools can be used to trace the items not listed in the library catalogues, from online catalogues (OPACs) of individual or national-network libraries to metaOPACs, enabling a simultaneous search in a large number of catalogues.
